About us

ASKESIS® Exercise Therapy Physiotherapy Center is a modern physical therapy and rehabilitation center, which focuses on improving health through natural methods of treatment and exercise. Our goal is the rehabilitation of injuries and diseases of the body in combination with the encouragement and cultivation of good physical condition, in order to achieve the subsequent quality in the daily life of the patient. Always applying scientifically proven therapeutic techniques and rehabilitation protocols, our principle is to treat each patient and each condition separately.

Nakastsis. I. Alexandros

Head Physiotherapist

Mr. Nakastsis Alexandros is a physiotherapist, a graduate of the School of Physiotherapy of the University of Thessaly (formerly ATEI of Central Greece). He has been trained (PgD) in Sports Physiotherapy at Bath University in the United Kingdom, while he has also received certification as a Therapeutic Exercise Specialist from the International Federation of Sports Physiotherapy (IFSPT). He has also received training and certifications in Manual Therapy (Mulligan Concept), as well as soft tissue mobilization.

He is the scientifically responsible physiotherapist of ASKESIS® Exercise Therapy and the chief physiotherapist of OLYMPIAKS S.F.P and the HELLENIC NATIONAL TEAM in the volleyball departments since 2018. In the past, he has worked as a physiotherapist in the football club PAS LAMIA 1964 and in the volleyball club A.O. HUNTING. He has worked as a professor᾽s assistant in clinical laboratories of the School of Physiotherapy of the University of Thessaly.

THE STAFF

The physical therapy team of ASKESIS® Exercise Therapy is made up of university physical therapists with postgraduate studies on the subject, aiming at specialization and ensuring the best result. Education combined with work experience allows us to cover a wide range of services to our patients, putting into effect modern approaches and up-to-date methods.

Giokarini Maria-Eleni

Physiotherapist

Ms. Giokarini Maria-Eleni is a physical therapist, a graduate of the physical therapy school of the University of Thessaly (formerly ATEI of Central Greece). She is certified in Manual Therapy (Maitland Concept). She has also received certification for myofascial release (trigger points) and has attended EKPA seminars on AEE (vascular stroke). In the past she has worked in physical therapy centers in Lamia and Samos.

Kalatzi Maria-Evangelia

Physiotherapist

Ms. Kalatzi Maria-Evangelia is a physiotherapist, a graduate of the School of Physiotherapy of the University of Athens. She is a postgraduate student in Exercise Biology at the University of Athens, TEFAA. She has received Pilates Instructor and Yoga certification from the University of Thessaly. She is also certified in acupuncture (Dry Needling), while she has also attended seminars for sports rehabilitation and strengthening at the University of Thessaly. In the past she has worked as a physical therapist in football sports clubs and rehabilitation centers.

Kaimaki Georgia

Physiotherapist

Ms. Kaimaki Georgia is a physiotherapist, a graduate of the Faculty
of Physiotherapy of the University of Thessaly (formerly ATEI of Central Greece). She has received certification in the Trigger points release and Combination Taping seminars. In the past she has worked as a physical therapist in rehabilitation centers.
